2023 San Francisco International Wine Competition

SETTING THE STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE SINCE 1980. The San Francisco International Wine Competition (SFIWC) is a member of The Tasting Alliance, the parent organization of the world-renowned San Francisco World Spirits Competition, New York World Wine & Spirits Competition, and Singapore World Spirits Competition.

The SFIWC is one of the largest—and most influential—wine competitions. Now celebrating its 39th year, it’s one of the oldest international wine competitions in the world. Year after year, the SFIWC takes great pride in maintaining The Tasting Alliance’s commitment to these three founding principles: Legacy, Integrity, Experience.

An SFIWC medal is a universally recognized indicator of exceptional quality and craftsmanship. We are immensely proud that The Whole VINADA Assortment won a medal!

 

De Grote Hamersma 2023

Wine journalist Harold Hamersma annually tastes all the wines available in Dutch stores. Only the most delicious wines are featured in "De Grote Hamersma," renowned as the bible of the best-rated wines of The Netherlands. With a score of 7 or higher, you 'earn' a spot in his bible. VINADA has achieved the highest score of all non-alcoholic wines that have ever earned this place. We are very proud of this accomplishment.

 

TROPHY FOR BEST VEGAN DRINK 2023 - WORLD ALCOHOL-FREE AWARDS  

We’re extremely proud to have won a TROPHY for ‘‘Best Vegan Drink’’, the ultimate accolade in the competition, at the Virtual Ceremony of the World Alcohol-Free Awards. The World Alcohol-Free Awards is the only drinks competition dedicated solely to drinks of 0.5% ABV and below. The “Best Vegan Drink” category was created as a way to ensure that customers can find not only great tasting drinks, but also drinks that suit their dietary and lifestyle preferences. 

VINADA was crowned the winner for being naturally food-friendly, as well as good for the planet and its people. Our products have been recognized by the World Alcohol-Free Awards as highly likely to attract lots of new drinkers into the non-alcoholic beverage category, which is becoming a dynamic and fast-growing category.

Salmon pink hue. Aromatic nose mixing ripe red berry fruit (strawberries,
cherries) and a subtle vegetal dimension. Fleshy and moreish on the palate,
restating the fruity palette with a touch of sweetness and good acidity. A great
thirst-quencher.

Pale yellow. Inviting nose of yellow-fleshed and tropical fruit with a slightly
toasted backdrop. Fleshy and quite corpulent on the palate, with an acidulous
side giving it zip. Will be appreciated as an aperitif.

Golden yellow hue. Appealing nose of white-flesh and citrus fruit with a
grapey touch. Soft and amiable on the tongue, with its fruit centre stage. Its
lively fizz compensates for the absence of alcohol. Can be consumed
copiously with no worries!

The Estonian Wine Of The Year Awards are organized by the Estonian Sommelier Association (ESA). All wines are rated by a professional jury consisting of Estonian Sommeliers, drink specialist and journalists. A total of 518 wines were submitted to the Wine of the Year 2023 competition. All wines are evaluated at a blind tasting rated in a 100-point system. We are thrilled to announce that our Crispy Chardonnay won the Silver Award! It was a winner within the alcohol free segment with >85 points. The recognition of the wine of the year gives wine lovers and sommeliers a quick, convenient and comprehensive opportunity to find the best wines on the Estonian wine market.

The World Alcohol-Free Awards is the only drinks competition dedicated solely to drinks of 0.5% ABV and below - only products that meet the globally-understood standard of alcohol-free. The whole judging process – from the categorisation of the drinks, through judging to the final awards and trophies – is geared around the particular needs of this dynamic and fast-growing category.

The alcohol-free category is the most exciting part of the drinks’ world: complex, dynamic and always changing.

Nice clean nose - from hints of green apple to something riper and more citrussy. Bright and approachable, it remains impressively restrained with a dry finish. A real champagne alternative.

Clear, pale yellow. Appealing, fruity nose reminiscent of peaches in syrup. One gets the same impression on the palate, which is balanced and resolutely fruit-driven. A well-rounded, harmonious wine.

Global Low & No Alcohol Wine Masters

The Global Low & No Alcohol Wine Masters 2022 took place on December 7th at the Hippodrome, London, in collaboration with The Drinks Business. It was a blind tasting competition that drew in entries from across the world.

VINADA Crispy Chardonnay and Tintelling Tempranillo received a silver and a bronze medal at the LONO. As with all of the Global Masters, the judging panel consisted of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers, who all make the competition globally renowned.

Generating a buzz

As the launch of new products continues to generate excitement in the low- and no-alcohol category, it's crucial to assess whether their quality measures up. The Low & No Masters aims to identify which products deliver on their promise. The competition, established in 2021, tasked three groups of judges with evaluating this year's entries.

Orange Trade Fund

What is the Orange Trade Fund / Oranje Handelsmissie Fonds?

Every year, hundreds of companies compete to be one of the 10 winners of the trade fund. The founders, ING, KLM, MKB-Nederland, Evofenedex, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), established the Oranje Handelsmissiefonds/The Orange Trade Fund to aid Dutch entrepreneurs in pursuing their export goals. The partners joined forces to emphasize the significance of international trade for the Netherlands. In 2021, the group underwent a change with the addition of new partners EY and UPS and supporting partner, the Language Institute Regina Coeli.

 

IWSC - INTERNATIONAL WINE AND SPIRIT COMPETITION:

Standing true to VINADA’s brand promise of "world’s favourite bubbles" VINADA proved that time and time again their high quality as we received a medal for each of the wines in our assortment!

VINADA’s Crispy Chardonnay particularly stood out, as it was awarded a jaw-dropping 95 point score, received a gold medal and was rated 'outstanding' by the judges. Additionally, VINADA’s Crispy Chardonnay also picked up the trophy for overall victory in the ‘‘no and low’’ alcoholic wine category!

Wine 100

The WINE100 Wine Competition is the most professional and highest-quality event platform in China. The Wine 100 organization is determined to develop a refined and innovative route.

This wine feast started in Shanghai, integrating Chinese taste with international standards. The feast gradually became one of the most prestigious annual wine events in the industry, as well as in consumer circles. The master of wine (MW) is the main force which has established long-term relationships with a solid lineup of Chinese industry leaders Mr. Zhao Fengyi, Mr. Zhao Fan, Mr. Lu Yang, Mr. Hao Liwen, Mr. Li Chenguang, Mr. Julian, and more. Over the past four years, the competition has attracted more than 30,000 high-quality wines, from over 5000 wine merchants, participating in the blind tasting. The production areas cover 28 countries, and 76 classic production areas;

Exhibitions have been carried out nationwide, with footprints in Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Changsha, Nanning and other places, winning the enthusiasm and love of local wine merchants and consumers.
